Chris Tremaine, founder and principal of Tremaine Enterprises, Inc. has established himself as an evaluation specialist in the world of structural and non-structural damages resulting from natural and man-made catastrophes. His career as a public adjuster and claims consultant began in 2001 following more than 20 years in the construction industry, including nearly a decade of experience providing appraisal and claims consulting services to clients. He is currently licensed and insured in multiple states across the country. Amongst his multiple duties, his primary goals are to focus on assisting clients through the evaluation process of damages and leading the necessary team of consultants and experts to tabulate the cost to restore clients to their pre-loss condition.

Mr. Tremaine has been instrumental in assisting clients of major disasters with over 20 years of experience including those affected by the Gulf Region and Atlantic hurricanes, California & Chilean earthquakes, Midwest tornados, and Western wildfires. His clients range from single-family dwellings, historical buildings, high-rise complexes, hospitals and assisted living facilities, educational institutions, and church facilities to entire incorporated cities throughout the United States. With his professional knowledge, diversity and innovation, Mr. Tremaine quickly adapts his past experience to new catastrophic events, noting scenario commonalities in particular natural disasters. He utilizes his vast experience from the construction and adjusting industries in his practices while working with counsel at several large reputable firms as well.

In an adjuster's capacity, Mr. Tremaine has handled numerous types of claims including wind, hail, tornado, flood, fire, seismic, sewage, vandalism, subsidence, property damage and construction defect. At the request of local public officials, Mr. Tremaine has given presentations for employees and constituents alike for the cities of Westweqo, LA following Hurricane Katrina, San Luis Obispo, CA following the 2003 San Simeon Earthquake, and Ft. Collins, CO following the 2012 High Park Wildfires.

As a result of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, he was retained by a multitude of clients, which included homeowners, property management firms, Home Owner Associations, and plaintiff's counsel. Mr. Tremaine's services included, but were not limited to, the compilation of relevant documents and reviewing reports and findings of conducted investigations and witness interviews. Mr. Tremaine also documented emergency services, temporary repairs, and the costs incurred handling these associated issues. He investigated the effects of the forces applied to the structures and evaluated the resulting damages. Additionally, he compiled the costs associated with needed repairs while working with clients' architects and/or contractors regarding reconstruction expenses and design issues that arose. In meeting with building and safety officials, they were able to identify life safety issues and project requirements that City, County, or Federal ordinances may necessitate. In the process of assisting clients, counsel, and both Federal and State Court Judges, Mr. Tremaine was instrumental in evaluating damages to building structure components. Through his investigations and cost analysis, Mr. Tremaine was successful in negotiating settlements with carrier representatives and/or governmental agencies.

Mr. Tremaine's background in the construction industry covers a multitude of trades and expertise. He began in structural concrete and framing which developed into handling the construction of many elaborately designed structures. As he furthered his talents to include construction oversight on numerous, substantial restoration projects, some including properties of vintage historical significance, he developed the ability to collaborate and supervise a multitude of specialty subcontractors.

Taking an opportunity, Mr. Tremaine branched out into the insurance restoration business which includes the restoration of structures due to various types of damages. As to improve his ability to better investigate these damages, Mr. Tremaine received certification from the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) in water damage restoration and fire & smoke restoration. Through continued education and training, Mr. Tremaine has also become a Windstorm Insurance Network certified wind appraiser and a Professional Infrared Training Institute certified infrared moisture surveyor.

His diversified hands on experience combined with working with top consultants in the forensic industry has given Chris Tremaine an extensive background culminating with the dynamic team TEI is today. His honed talents have refined his leadership skills to orchestrate a multitude of experts and trade consultants, supporting his ability to evaluate damages from catastrophic events to the best possible resolution.
